How Do I Replace My Proton Key Case?

Replacing the case on your Proton car remote is very simple and can be done by anyone. You only need a small, flathead screwdriver (or similar tool) and 1 minute.

  1. Remove the screw on the front of your car key
  2. Gently remove the front plate of the key.
  3. Transfer the circuit board and transponder from the old case to the new case.
  4. The car key blade in this model is fixed and unremovable. You will need to have the new car key cut by an automative locksmith, Mister Minit or similar. You cannot re-use your old key blade.
  5. Close the case and replace the screw
  6. Test the operation of your new car key!

 

What Is Not Included?

This Auto Openers AOPR-CK04 is a replacement case only. This product will include a key case shell, blank key blade and rubber buttons.
The AOPR-CK04 does not include the car key internals, such as the circuit board. This product is not a functioning car key remote.
