Garage Remote Case

Garage door remote controls are one of the most fragile items on your car keys keyring. Very often, remotes are made from plastic which over time becomes brittle and can crack. The rubber buttons can also wear out, exposing your remote’s circuit board to the elements.

We often see remote controls wrapped in sticky tape with worn-out buttons. Our range of replacement garage remote cases and enclosures allow you to swap the working board into a new case. This is often 50% the cost of a new remote, which helps save you money!

Steps on how you change the board can differ from brand to brand. For the most common case replacements we do (ATA / B&D) please see below:

Remove the front cover from the rear cover, then remove the circuit board from the case..
Check to see if your remote controls board has side toggles. These are very small pieces of plastic that hold the board about midway down the length. You might also have a board holder at the top of the remote case, which is shaped like a small “C”.
Slide your board into the holder, then gently clip the board toggles into place.
