Roller Door Locks

Every garage lock has specific features and characteristics that make identifying them easy. We carry garage door locks from all major brands, including B&D Doors, Steel-Line, Gliderol & more.

The four key characteristics to look at when choosing a lock for the garage roller door is:

Inside looking out: Is there a short or long arm at the left of the lock? Does it angle up, or down?
Inside looking out: Is there a short or long arm at the right of the lock? Does it angle up, or down?
Outside looking in: Where is the lock barrel on your faceplate? Is it in the centre, or is it on the left or right hand side?
Outside looking in: Does your lock faceplate have handles? Is there one on the left or right hand side, or is there one on either side?

Replacing a lock for the garage roller door normally takes less than 10 minutes. If you are replacing a lock, you just require a screwdriver or electric screwdriver. If you are installing a new garage door lock, you may also require a pop rivet gun and drill bit.

Remove the screws from the lock assembly. This will cause the lock to fall apart. Remove the locking bars from the arms of your old roller door lock assembly.
Using the notches on either side of the faceplate, gently press the faceplate into the cut-out hole of your door.
Your roller door lock assembly can now be pressed onto the faceplate’s rear. Using the new screws supplied in the kit, attach the assembly to the lock.
If required, reattach your locking bars using the door’s locking bar retainer clips. There are located in the roller door guide tracks, on either side of your door.
You may require to reattach the locking bars to your assembly arms via a screw, or pop rivet. Either is fine.
