Battery Backups

Depending on the model and brand of your garage door or gate opener, you may need to purchase a specific battery backup. However, there are a few general rules that can make your life easy when finding the right type:

If you have a MYQ Merlin opener, you will need the Merlin M-BBU24V.
If using a EVO Merlin opener, you will need the Merlin E475M.

If you have an ATA or B&D Gen1 garage opener, you will need the Gen1 battery backup.
Following the same logic, if you have a Gen2 opener you would need the Gen2 battery kit.
