How Do I Replace My Mercedes Benz Key Buttons?

Replacing the buttons on your Mercedes Benz car remote is very simple and can be done by anyone. You only need a small, flathead screwdriver (or similar tool) and 1 minute.

  1. In the rear of your car key, insert the flat head screwdriver into the rear of the car key and slide the top section of the key away.
  2. You can then insert the screwdriver into the slot next to the key blade and pry the two halves of the car key open.
  3. Insert the circuit board and transponder into the new car key.
  4. Get your new, included key cut at a local locksmith.
  5. Test the operation of your new remote!
