How Do I Replace My BMW Key Case?

Replacing the buttons on your BMW car remote is very simple and can be done by anyone. You only need a small Phillips head screwdriver (or similar tool) and 1 minute.

  1. Press the button on the rear of the car key and remove the key blade
  2. On the right hand side, you will see a small indent with a button. Insert the tip of the key blade into the indent and press the button to remove the back cover of the car key.
  3. Underneath that indent, you can insery the tip of the keyblade. Rotate the blade gently (but firmly) to crack open the case.
  4. Transfer the circuit board and transponder to the new car key case.
  5. Click the case shut and replace the back cover.
  6. Test the operation of your new car key!

 

What Is Not Included?

This Auto Openers AOBM-CK12 is a replacement case, blade and buttons only. This product will include a key case shell with a blank blade and buttons.
The AOBM-CK12 does not include the car key internals, such as the circuit board or transponder. This product is not a functioning car key remote.
